Joining this mission was something I didn’t expect to do. At first, I had a lot of hesitation and doubts. But as the days went by, I realized how grateful I am that I said yes—because through this experience, God showed me so much.
Before the trip, I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. It was the kind that came with a sense of anticipation. Deep down, I was excited for what God was going to do—not just in the mission, but in me personally.
One of the most powerful moments was during our evangelism outreach. I witnessed how God spoke directly to the hearts of the people we talked to. In Catanduanes, many are deeply rooted in Catholic beliefs, but even so, people were willing to listen to the gospel. Some were even ready to accept Jesus. That really amazed me. I knew that what was happening wasn’t because of our skills or words—it was clearly God moving. I thank Him for giving us the burden to share His message and His love.
Another thing God opened my eyes to was the value of being intentional when reaching out to communities. He reminded me that this kind of work isn’t just about preaching—it’s about loving people the way Jesus did. With humility, with purpose, and with genuine care.
God also taught me a deeper lesson about love. We are called to love others the way Jesus loves us. It’s not enough that we receive His love—we’re meant to pass it on, especially to those who haven’t experienced His hope yet. That’s what missions are really about—being vessels of God’s love to a world that needs it.
Most importantly, I was reminded that this mission, and everything we do in it, is all for God. This calling isn’t only for pastors or missionaries—it’s for all of us who follow Christ. Each of us has a role to play in fulfilling His command to go and make disciples.
This experience changed the way I see things. It opened my heart and gave me a new burden to continue doing this kind of work. I know this is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what God will do next in my life.
All glory to Him.
